Competence in Hydrogen

I'm pleased to welcome you to my website! My name is Markus Kampitsch. For over 15 years, I have held leadership positions in the field of hydrogen technology — with a particular focus on storage, refueling, and infrastructure solutions.

As a project manager at BMW and later as head of department at Great Wall Motor in China, I was responsible for tank system development, vehicle integration, H₂ refueling, facility safety & operations, hydrogen logistics, as well as the associated organizational measures.

Through my PhD research in engine simulation at the University of the Bundeswehr and my roles as developer and project manager for performance modeling and flow simulation of aerospace propulsion systems at Airbus and IABG, I also possess a solid foundation for evaluating hydrogen-based aviation fuel concepts.

Since founding KEI GmbH in 2019, I have been working as a consultant in the field of hydrogen technology and business development, supporting international SMEs, start-ups, and investors in the areas of technology assessment and development, technical due diligence, M&A, safety analyses, and the evaluation of innovative hybrid energy supply systems and related business models.

My current focus is on storage, transport, and refueling of compressed hydrogen as well as cryogenic compressed hydrogen (CcH₂).

My focus is always on pragmatic solutions that are both technically and economically sound.
